It is highly recommended that you conduct your business with the Kansas State Board of Mortuary Arts via online services available on our website, through mail, phone call, email, or by appointment.

Kansas License Renewals and Continuing Education:

Because at this time almost all on-sight (in person) continuing education programs have been canceled due to the Pandemic, the requirement on the maximum of 50% of home study/correspondence courses has been temporarily lifted. Individual license renewals may submit a maximum of twelve (12) hours of home study/correspondence hours (for embalmers and funeral directors) and a maximum of two (2) hours of home study/correspondence hours for crematory operators. This policy will be re-evaluated as necessary, and we will advise you accordingly. Thank you very much.
