Applications can be obtained through the board's Topeka office or from this website (see below)
Applicants must be of legal age and complete a course in crematory operator training within twelve (12) months of licensure. Failure to do so will result in the automatic suspension of the license.
After submitting the license application to the KSBMA office, a pro-rated bill be calculated depending on the first letter of the applicant's surname. The pro-rated bill will be sent to the applicant. Upon receipt of the completed pro-rated bill and associated fee in the KSBMA office, the crematory operator license will be issued.
The renewal fee is $50.00 biennially. After the first two year renewal is complete, two hours of continuing education are required with each renewal.
